This Students In Focus Season One Finale features a student spotlight on Gabi Cuascut, a rising producer from Utah Valley University, and expert insights from filmmaker Nic Edwards, a skilled 1st Assistant Camera and camera operator. Both interviews offer a unique perspective on the filmmaking process.

See the world through the eyes of Utah’s rising generation of youth filmmakers at the Reel Stories Screening. Experience this year’s collection of short (3-5 minute) documentaries written, filmed, and produced by our talented students in only three weeks. The screening will include a Q&A with the filmmakers.

Experimental Series - Salt Lake City is an experimental video/film series focused on movement, the body, gesture, choreography, and/or somatic and embodied cinematic interventions. All programs screen at the Union Theatre at the University of Utah.

Focus on the Future Film Festival
Deadline: October 1, 2024
This film festival is open to all filmmakers that are Utah residents either 18-25 years of age or students currently enrolled / recent graduates of Utah colleges or universities. Submissions to the fUTure of Utah Filmmakers' Showcase must be 25 minutes or less in total runtime and completed within the last year, or 2022 or later. Now Accepting Submissions!
