Weber County Area Connection Issues: 2025-03-04 @ 5:15 PM Description: UEN NOC noticed a large number of circuits down for the following institutions. We are working with Lumen to get this issue resolved as quickly as possible.
Update: Lumen believes this to be a fiber cut at this time.
Update: Lumen is working with DOT at this time to access the fiber cut.

Weber County area outage: 2025-03-04 @ 5:15 PM Description: Previous outage was reported as resolved incorrectly. Work continues on a large fiber cut in the Weber County area. There were several fibers of various sizes were cut by a boring machine.
Update: Provider crews continue to repair fiber. Estimated ETR is 8pm
Update: Scope of cut is quite large. Three 48-count fiber cables, a 144-count fiber cable, a 216-count fiber cable, a 432-count fiber cable, and a 720-count fiber cable.
The 144 count cable is repaired, and work on the remaining cables continues.
Update: We are starting to see some services recover. Some circuits remain down. The provider is still estimating an ETR of 8pm
Update: Provider crews are still repairing fiber at this time. A new ETA has been provided.
Update: This outage was resolved at 9:58 PM. Impact: Several sites in the Weber county area have no connectivity.

UBR/LV3 Router Maintenance: 2025-03-13 @ 11:00 PM Description: UETN engineers will be replacing the main router at the UBR POP.
A code upgrade will be performed on the LV3-B node as well.
