Lumen Network Outage: 2021-06-01 @ 8:45 AM Description: Lumen has reported a network outage to our Lumen IBR router. Lumen has techs investigating the issue and will provide further updates on the issue. We will provide an update in 2 hours of the status.
Update: This outage was resolved at 10:14 AM. Impact: The network outage is affecting the areas of Davis County and North up to Logan.
Centurylink Backbone Circuits down: 2021-06-03 @ 9:00 PM Description: We are currently investigating several Lumen backbone circuits down in Richfield and Southern Utah. No ETR at this time.
Update: Lumen is reporting an issue in Richfield with their backbone equipment. They have an open case for investigation, no ETR at this time.

UEN upgrading OS on storage arrays: 2021-06-12 @ 9:00 AM Description: We will be upgrading the OS on all Tegile storage arrays.

Update: This maintenance completed on time. Impact: The upgrade process may interrupt NFS mounts to web servers or utility servers. Depending on the client server's OS, the 10 to 20 second interruption may cause the problems for the server and may require restarting some services.

Update: This maintenance completed at 7:35 PM. Impact: Only the CBRS network and the Backup and Recovery service networks will be impacted by this upgrade. This maintenance window was chosen so as to be after the work day ends and before backups run.
All links should be redundant and if all goes well there will only be a five second network interruption. If a non-redundant link is discovered there could be up to 30 minutes of disruption.
UETN Datacenter EBC network maintenance: 2021-06-29 @ 9:00 PM Description: UETN will be performing EBC datacenter switch upgrades and failover testing and monitoring.
Update: This maintenance will begin in 5 minutes.
Update: This maintenance completed at 10:40 PM. Impact: All EBC hosted datacenter services, building wired network routing, EBC VPN, and UETN phones will be impacted. Wireless networking, campus phones, and JMC links in EBC will not be impacted. (Layer 3 is impacted, layer 2 is not)
All links should be redundant and if all goes well there will only be a five second network interruption. If a non-redundant link is discovered there could be up to 30 minutes of disruption.
UETN Datacenter RDC network maintenance: 2021-06-29 @ 7:00 PM Description: UETN will be doing RDC datacenter switch upgrades and failover testing and monitoring.

Update: This maintenance completed at 10:40 PM. Impact: Only internal UETN services will be impacted by this maintenance.

UETN Datacenter (DDC) network maintenance: 2021-06-30 @ 10:00 PM Description: UETN will be performing DDC datacenter switch upgrades and failover testing and monitoring.
Update: This maintenance will begin in 5 minutes.
Update: This maintenance completed at 11:24 PM. Impact: All DDC hosted UETN datacenter and vmware services will be impacted.
All important links should be redundant and if all goes well there will only be a five second network interruption. If a non-redundant link is discovered there could be up to 30 minutes of disruption. Some single-homed internal services will see extended outages.
Lumen Network Outage: 2021-06-30 @ 6:50 AM Description: There is an outage with lumen in the Lehi area that is affecting our circuit that goes from Salt Lake Community College to St. George. The outage was detected and reported by Lumen at 6:51 AM.
Lumen techs are onsite assessing the issue.has NO ETR has been provided at this time. We will continue to monitor the outage and report on the hour of the status.
Update: Local utility company is replacing poles. They will place new cables and the Lumen Field will splice the new cables. The next update will be provided at 12:00 MDT as new information becomes available.
Update: The cable is being prepared for splicing at this time and splicing activities are scheduled to begin momentarily. Due to the complexity of the fiber work, the local utility company has not provided a new ETR.
Update: This outage was resolved at 5:58 PM. Impact: Dixie/St. George
