The conversion of Geomax circuits from the Optera optical transport to the new Tellabs (now Coriant) optical transport was completed on December 31st, 2014. Circuit moves are 100% complete.
Followup activities will include shutting down and physically removing the old Optera hardware from all UEN PoPs and District Offices around the state. UEN’s Erate and Accounting teams are working with CenturyLink on setting up the new billing structure. |

IVC Replacement - RUS and STEM - 90% of the equipment procurement is complete and classroom installation is well underway. All STEM IVC rooms in northern Utah are scheduled for completion by the start of school. RUS room installation will continue into the fall. UEN’s new RUS collaborative video bridging solution is installed and provisioning is underway. Testing and training will be conducted during the summer with the intent of moving it into production this fall. |
