Painting and Travel with Roger & Sarah Bansemer

Join artist Roger Bansemer and narrator Sarah Shurcliff Bansemer on an artistic journey of travel and painting on location throughout the country. "Painting and Travel with Roger & Sarah Bansemer" will instruct, enlighten and entertain you with personal insights regarding choosing a subject, importance of color, value, and feelings about putting brush to canvas, as well as a tour of the sights in the surrounding area.

    Take a drive through the fascinating and austere Badlands of South Dakota known for its wealth of dinosaur fossils and rugged landscape. Using acrylics Roger chooses an interesting prairie view with yellow flowers.

    Sarah stops in Appleton, Wisconsin to find out how oil paints are manufactured. A tour of the plant reveals the process from the selection of ingredients to the finished product. Roger uses oils and paints a long country driveway on location at an Indiana farm.

Take a spin on a hand carved animal for only 25 cents and listen to the Wurlitzer monster band organ. Roger paints one of the ornately decorated horses back in his studio.
