Women’s Week Honors Indigenous Action
This year UEN will be celebrating Women’s History Month with a special event honoring Indigenous Women and their social justice and environmental activism.
This year UEN will be celebrating Women’s History Month with a special event honoring Indigenous Women and their social justice and environmental activism. After an incredibly successful annual American Indian Film Festival that brought the Film, “Warrior Women” to campuses across the state, UEN and several University of Utah partners have invited, Madonna Thunder Hawk to visit campus at the University of Utah and the community. https://vimeo.com/301097219 Film Trailer.
This event will bring students, professionals and numerous unique communities together. Participants in the film screenings and panels will hear first-hand from history. Madonna Thunder Hawk will share her grassroots activism in a forum for indigenous, female and community activists that tells her story for the benefit of future generations.
