Library Technology Inventory
The Utah Education Network and the Utah State Library Division (USL), in collaboration with Connected Nation, conducted the first statewide Utah State Library Inventory Campaign (USLIC). This initiative assessed technology infrastructure across 60 public libraries, gathering 1,830 data points on Wi-Fi, hardware and device availability.
The inventory, mirroring UEN’s school technology assessments, focused on key areas like equipment age, network coverage and patron device access. The resulting data delivers a critical overview of current library technology, creating a benchmark for future progress and informing future decisions on resource allocation to ensure access to technology for lifelong learning throughout Utah.
UEN, USL and Connected Nation conducted the inventory from October to November and the final report was released early 2025.
