English Language Arts Humanities (2023)
Course Preface

The Humanities focus on how people make meaning of their experiences as humans. It integrates the study of history, literature, language, philosophy, the visual arts, theater, dance, and music to answer the enduring questions about humanity. Students will develop their creative abilities and critical thinking and communication skills through evaluating and analyzing exemplary works and artifacts as a means of inspiring continued expressions in answering these questions. Humanities is an applied or advanced course that may be used to fulfill up to one credit of the English Language Arts graduation requirement. These standards align with the Utah Core Standards for English Language Arts.
